Can I request an inter-library loan?

Answer

If you are an HE student and you have found a journal article that is not not available through our library subscriptions, you may request access via an Inter-Library Loan (ILL).

The best way to do this is to locate the article in Discover More by searching for the article title (remove all search filters, including the 'at my Library' filter). Click on the 'access options' beneath the article and follow the link to 'request this item through interlibrary loan'.

This will redirect you to a form where you can fill in your information and submit your request. We will notify you about the progress of your request by email.

If you cannot locate the article in Discover More, you may use the generic ILL request form found on the Requesting Items page of the library website. You will also see information on the Requesting Items page about how many free ILL requests you may be entitled to.

Please email the library if you have any difficulties accessing journal articles or creating an ILL request.
